Spyderco's from eBay seller "supremesolution"

It wasn't a Spyderco, but I had an issue with them.
The knife I purchased had a problem, and they were pretty slow to respond to my complaint. Then, after it was returned, they never shipped a replacement. (They said they did, mind you; but they weren't able to provide tracking info). They jerked me around for weeks, until I advised them that if I didn't have the replacement by the end of the week I'd be disputing the charge. They freaked about that, and said that they would process my refund. When I pointed out that what I really wanted was the knife I'd purchased, they couldn't get past the fact that I'd mentioned disputing the charge - the refund was processed before they told me they didn't have any more of the knife I'd purchased in stock, anyway.

A big hassle over a $25-30 knife that was purchased for a friend.

I bought a Stretch and a Salt 1 from them last year. Both knives were everything they should be.

Did you register on bladeforums just to ask about an ebay seller?

Not at all. I registered to watch the knife exchange section of the forum looking for a PM2 to pop up, but they always sell so quick I decided to just buy one on ebay. The I started reading about all the fakes out there, got nervous, and started this thread.

I am a knife n00b, I have a utilitac II, Sog Twich II, kershaw clash, but wanted something really nice to carry with me along with Fenix LD01 and whichever 9mm Glock I have on me ;)

I have purchased about 5 Spyderco knives from them over the past 1-2 years and have never had any issues. Seem to have pretty great prices as well!

Good to hear, thanks. I bought a camo PM2 from them for $122 shipped. Once that listing was sold out, they re-listed them for $147. Not sure why they were selling them for $122. Hopefully all is well when it arrives.

That might just have been what their price needed to be in order for them to make a profit, and maybe they paid more for the new ones for whatever reason, and so had to raise their prices accordingly. Any number of things. Might just be that they realize how popular the product is and are doing an experiment to see what their customers will bear before looking elsewhere.

When I buy from eBay, I look for vendors with super low prices, high volume of sales and almost perfect feedback. Supremesolution is one of a handful of vendors who meets all of those criteria. I've had numerous purchases from them without a single problem.

Agreed 100%! I've bought several items from them over the years and never had a problem. They've always been very courteous and they ship extremely fast, so fast that sometimes I will buy from them even if they're a few bucks higher on an item just so that I can usually get it a few days faster usually.
