Spydercos not made

If I could design a Spyderco from the ground up, I have two ideas. First would be a open back, titanium Reeve integral locker with an H1 blade. Not overly large, probably 3 inch blade, but very stout. I think it would make the ultimate harsh environment folder. The open, simple design would make it easy to rinse out fish guts and sand, being a folder with a good clip would mean no sheath on my shorts. H1 means I would not have to leave it while in the water or on the Jetski. The second would be a two layer Delica with a Spydersaw riding shotgun. I think it would make a dandy woods folder(hiking, camping, hunting), or even EDC. I know I use the small saw on my Farmer and L.M. a lot in the woods. Any of you guys have ideas that you have not seen implemented?

I like the RIL/H1 idea. I've been looking for them to make a screw-together, pillar construction H1 folder with G-10 or something, but I don't know if that will happen.

We tried to make a Dyad2, which was a dual blade RIL, H1 folder, but the maker can't do it in H1 at this time. We did make a proto in VG-10 with dual steel RIL scales. It turned out to be quite expensive. We'll show it at the SHOT show for response.

I would like to see a new Dyad in general.

I like the current Byrd Wings, but won't be buying any for personal reasons.

Discontinued Dyads are hard to find and usually command a premium.

Mark me down for a new Dyad when it comes out.

I'd love to see a Sage sized knife with a ball bearing lock.

A Delica with black G-10 scales, but I'm guessing the green G-10 is limited, and it's only a matter of time.

A 3-inch bladed version of the Tenacious with a back lock. More or less a choil-less Native.

I would like to see a "Swiss Army" style Spyderco folder, with the following: Barong blade (plain edge), Rescue ASSIST blade (full serration), Manix blade (plain edge), Civilian blade (full serrations), G10 CADPAT scales, Ti hex hardware, Ti liner locks, Ti frame, and Ti clip, and a Ti lanyard loop

:)

Then wait for it, because it should come eventually! As you may or may not know, the Sage project is to release Sage knives with different locks to honor the developers of those locks.

Bushman, Sounds very interesting, but that would be one big fat folder, even by my standards.

Caly III with tip-down carry and a swedge like on the Calypso Jr.

and a version of what I described, shaped/sized like the Urban with a 2mm thick blade.

No offence guys, but i would kill everyone of you right now for a dodo and yojimbo in s90v and CF.:D

EDIT: Upon re-thinking my idea....I decided I like it even more! I mean come on, if they made my dodo/yojimbo could you seriously say you wouldnt buy at least one?

Heck, I'd be happy if I could find a spyderco clip that would allow the knife to sit deeper in my pocket and do so in a way that it just looks like a ballpoint pen. I love all the various spydercos for different reasons, but one thing I'd really like would be a clip that would allow me to carry the knife more discretely. I have to wear dress clothes everyday and the butt end of the knife sticking out of the top of my pocket tends to make the sheep nervous.

Have you tried some of the deep pocket clips like on the UKPK and Caly3 ?

The Delica and Endura have been waiting for a little brother for a long time. It should be just a fraction smaller than the Robin with no choil. All features of the D+E should be there including ZDP-189. Really hog out the liners to keep it light or just use small liners at both ends to support the screws and blade bushings. If it has to be tip down only or the lanyard hole won't fit, I'd be OK with that. No sharp corners for those carrying without the clip. This would be good for those restricted to 2-1/2".
