Hello everybody I have been reading here for some time but this is my first post. You all seem pretty knowledgeable and I was wondering if you could answer a question of mine. Is the Endura 4 the first waved endura? Or did they do it to previous versions as well. Thanks in advance.

Yep, it's the first waved Endura.
This year, a full serrated and combo edge is supposed to come out as well:)(right now it's just available in plain edge, although it still works good).

Welcome to Bladeforums! :)

The E4 is not the first. I have one of the originals, which was a special project for Self Defense Forums. It's a slightly lighter weight knife which came out before any of the E4 models.

No way! Where can you find those floating around?

Forget it. There weren't many, they are long gone, those of us who have them aren't likely to sell them. Rare, collectible, but not high-dollar.

If you're interested, post in Knives: Wanted to Buy, and keep an eye on ebay. But don't get your hopes up.

It is essentially an E3 (linerless) handle with an E4 waved blade inserted therein (thought there was no spyder logo on them as yet). The box this one came in indicates it was manufactured in May '05.

If it's linerless, I'll pass.
Still, nice to learn something new each day. Guess I'll just pick up another Endura 4 Wave.

That's what I'm getting. It says it has liners in the catalog. Frn is strong, but the liners are nice to have too. Just one more sleep till my waved Endura. A rough sleep too.

A rough Sleep!! Just dream about that Spyderco and before you know it, it'll be there for you.
