Spydercos...

I feel you. I just got my first ever "premium" brands and steels yesterday. A $195 BM KW exclusive 810-1401 Contego in M390, I love it, and it's an absolute beast... BUT, the other knife I got with my order was a Delica 4 with Brown FRN in VG-10 and I CANNOT keep it out of my hands! It just feels so...right. That's the only way I can think of to describe it. Both great blades with different purposes but the Spydie just feels like it was tailored for me, like it's an extension of me.

Anyway, I'll be buying more of both brands as I love them both, the AXIS lock is just terrific and the Spyderco just has something I can't quite put my finger on but I want more of it.

Get a spyderco with a jimped finger choil at the bottom and you will forget benchmades ever existed. I still carry my BM mini grip sometimes but it feels like a oblong turd after holding a PM2 or any Spydie with that choil and thumb ramp. The choke up is king as you can see. Try that with a BM

I agree with the choil comment. All Spydercos are ergonomic but the ones with the choil are simply outstanding. My favorites are the Gayle Bradley, PM2 and Dragonfly G10.

I own Benchmade, Kershaw and ZT knives also but I own more Spydercos than any other and it's usually a Spyderco that you will find in my pocket.

I don't like the models with the big choil. Would have bought a super leaf if not for the giant edge eating choil
