Vince & Patrick did some SpydeRench breaking tests on finished pieces.

We are pleased to report the lock for the blade held 265 inch/lbs of force to defeat the lock. Not bad considering there is ONLY ONE SCALE.

The latch that holds the extension open to provide leverage held 750 inch/lbs of force and the frame broke before the latch.

Tools should begin shipping about the week of the 20th. Collectors will get theirs first.

Brian - The tool retail (MRSP) is listed at $110 ($109.95). our Manufacurers Allowable Advertising policy (MAAP) is 20% so no one should be advertising the tool for less that $88.

I really cannot imagine anyone Deep Discounting the tool. We are already backordered 3 months production.

I believe the SpydeRench is at least competitive with the "Better" tools out there. 440C is the best of the blade steels on any tool and very corrosion resistant for an excotic knife steel. The castings are 17.4ph and are both very stgrong and corrosion resistant. The tool performs very well and is very user friendly.

I think that getting the tool will be more difficult than selling the tool.
