SpyderPunk returned the Spyderco Temperence Knife to me today and it seems in fine shape.

So I do honestly want to say thanks to SP, he did do the right thing and return it.

That's good to hear Dave. It took some time but in the end he did the honorable thing - follow through on a commitment!

Glad to see the knife was returned although I hardly think it qualifies as the "honorable" thing. Basically a punk who tried to swipe a knife and returned it because he got caught and most likely because his parents were alerted.

Doing the right thing in this situation only because ya got beat over the head dont count for much.

OK - so you don't like my choice of words!

Bottom line - the knife is back and few (including me) will do business with Spyderpunk in the future.

Glad you got your knife back Dave, I was worried for awhile. No congratulations are owed to Spyder Punk for doing what he should have in the first place, but it is good to see that he finally came through.

That is a welcome end to a sorry saga, definitely.

First post 30/1. First post from SP 2/2. Back in the hand by 18/2. (Pardon the non-US date order). Well done Dave.

In review:

Some justifiable reasons for concern, en route, from a number of perspectives. Who could really know what the circumstances at home in particular were and this was after all, a kid of 15. And, we are talking about....a knife, of no special significance, but okay still... and so on. Maybe overwhelmed by the barrage which ensued. Maybe not and just playing 'the routine' Again, who could really know, from here. Probably, elements of all these.

4 s ter your generosity of spirit is admirable. It is also better to be positive, certainly. At the same time, well watch how you go just a bit, I'd think.

Take this as you like, it wont be me dealing with it I'm sure. Even allowing for the considerable (and admirable) liberty extended on the Forums, there does appear to be a 'need for anger management' element. Even outside W&C, posts, certainly a post, from one party in particular, have/has struck me as very close to the legal line, with a number of potentially unpleasant ramifications. No, I wont be going into who.

So watch how you - whoever's bill this might just seem to fit - go there, also. You aren't invulnerable, believe me.

I just re-read my above post. Just incase my wording wasn't clear - I WON'T / WILL NOT / WON'T DARE to do any business with SP (sales, trades, loans, etc. etc.)

Glad to hear order has been restored.

DaveH - has this experience had any effect on future passarounds for you?

Dan
