Owners please chime in..
Do you actually carry it or is it just a collectible ?
I think I'm going to occasionaly carry mine on duty as a back up knife to the prinmary L-UDT auto. I have wanted one since I first found it in the Spydie catalog I received. My only regret is that I only ordered one of them as once they dry up I could have had several to sell.

I have 4 of them. 1 aluminum serrated, 1 G-10 serrated, and 2 carbon Fiber (1 plain, 1 serrated). The only one that I carry (occasionally) is the G-10 and my favorite is the older aluminum handled one.
happy collecting,
woody

I carry my Civilian as a backup to my EDC, which at present is an Emerson Commander. I carry the Civilian in my left pocket. I have to say that being such a specialized piece of equipment I thought it would just be a showpiece, but the "fear factor" is a great thing - the one time I pulled it out with the possibility of using it...it scared the other individual so much they just left (more acurately, they ran away very fast)!! Now that's the way to end a fight!

I got five of them. One G-10 serrated and four CF right hand plainedged. I love the blade shape. I don't carry them often. I got other EDCs'. It is a great knife with a strong lock. Enjoy. If you want one more, let me know.

Old style here with the inserts, collectible mostly and to show off to those that wonder what I have in my pocket...;)

Would love to get a plain edged one someday!

I quite like my G-10 serrated, but it is just too
specialized to meet my EDC needs and tends to live
on the night stand. I'd like some plain and carbon
fiber versions for my display case though. :D

I carry a Matriarch every day along with a Military. For now the Civilian stays at home. Next week who knows. :D

I have one which I only have stored in its pouch. It's too nasty to have on you if a LEO wants to do a search on you.

A friend of mine had one of the older aluminum handled modles and showed it to me. I thought it was "creepy" looking, but had to have one. I eventually bought a g-10 serrated one. Yes, I carry it every now and then. My EDC is my Sifu which works well with thick heavy jeans but weights too much for dress slacks. When having to dress nice:mad: I will carry the Civilian, it is slim and light and carries very well. It's a "gentleman's folder with attitude"
:D

My CF Civvie is currently en route. Spyderco says that the tip is not made for utility use, so I'll probably heed their advice and only carry it when I need it.

If a situation dictates that I do need a purely defensive backup folder, this will be the knife I look for, and the first I'll draw. I'd absolutely carry it in that role constantly if I were in a profession that called for it.

Well, the wife called me and the big brown truck arrived and took a money order.
The only COD iwas expecting is my Civvie :D
I'll carry it on duty tommorow.
now if he had only brought the other box with my L-UDT and Kestrel I would be a happy camper

I have two of the G-10 serrated versions. One for carry, and one to save. I will admit I rarely carry it though. The plain edge versions interest me very little though a carbon fiber version might be nice. But 2 is enough for now. It is one of my favorites, along with the Chinook and Sifu.

I carry a Matriarch but ocasionally alternate it with a Civilian (alu with inserts and clip relocated to but end for tip up carry).

I love my matriarch. Nice, light carry knife. I don't own a civilian...yet, but the matriarch might be a good choice for carry if you want to keep the civie for collecting. I costs half as much and is only a tiny bit smaller.

Civilian and a Matriarch on the way...

Both for my collection only. I have a Gunting and a Commander as EDC:s.

question, the civi has been my dream knife for a long time, i'd carry it at work (security)
question: can if be worn in left pocket? or is clip non reversible.
Oh and if anyone wants to trade a serrated G10 or serrated CF, i have a NIB numbered gunting, and a Nib military, I want one !!!!! :D
