Spydie Flick your Sebenza???!!!

It wasn't designed to be a fidget toy, though. It's a very tough knife that will do a lot of work and sports amazing tolerances for a fit and finish for a production knife (though that level of polish is now rivaled by other makers).

There are Sebenzas decades old that have been carried and used hard with no blade play or wobble. The owner of this site showed me the one in his pocket of similar age when I visited his shop when I bought my Inkosi.

I just dont see the point, frankly. I have a lot of knives designed to be flicked or shot open until all the nervous energy in my body is spent. I don't buy a CRK to treat it like a spyderco or even a ZT. I bought it to appreciate and use hard while enjoying the level of fit. I am 100% sure I could baton my Inkosi through multiple pieces of wood in an emergency without it loosening up. Actually, if you made me pick one folder out of my collection to be stuck with in a do or die situation, I think the Inkosi would win. It's super solid with a very simple yet very strong design.

Still, it wasn't designed to be flicked even if it can take it.

I wouldn't expect my Challenger to go where my old CJ5 Jeep goes, and I wouldn't expect to hit the same 0-60 with the Jeep's inline 6 as I get out of my Hemi. I am still equally confident in both.

I have a large 21 that the defend is so strong you can't open it unless you flick it

Then it needs to go back to CRK.

I will say that the thumbstuds on CRK knives aren't the most friendly requiring way more effort to roll open for folks with good size hands.

OTFs have ruined me on "fast" opening folders. Push forward button, cut, pull back button, pocket. Flourishes of anything opening from the side is too slow if I want to be fast.

Agree that autos are the fastest but have you got good with a Benchmade 940? The axis lock or even the Hogue able lock is almost as fast as autos, one handed open and shut without all the issues of autos(blade wobble, spring failure, etc). Autos are the fastest but the axis lock has kept me from carrying autos, I have 2 microtechs and I’ve informally tested speeds of both versus my 940 and I promise you it’s nearly the same to get out of the pocket, open and close. This is my go to knife when fishing because I usually only have one hand to operate with when tying on one of my many lures that don’t catch fish. I tried to take a quick video of my 940 action …. it will be a miracle if this works.

John Phillips John Phillips That is certainly fast, but im not a huge fan of the axis style of lock. My fingers just fumble on it. Still, very very impressive and I thank you for the video.

The place I buy my Microtechs from also carries a ton of Bemchmade, so I may pick one up.Then again, if I end up buying a Bemchmade it may end up being and Infidel. I do enjoy my OTFs:)
