I've seen this Spyderco Saw at my shooting range. Has anyone used these? It's like a big endura with saw teeth. How does it work?

It's been discontinued for a while. We had one at the Sportsmans Warehouse I used to work at, didn't sell too many. Looks like a fine saw. I wouldn't overlook it.

I gave one to my father a few years back and he has used it extensively. It is still reasonably sharp and he seems quite happy with it. I have been pondering trying to track a spare down for him.

I keep one in the Osprey backpack I keep as my emergency kit in my truck. Inside is a Leather Charge XTi, a Swedish firesteel on a lanyard, a Buck Hartsook (also on the same lanyard), a SureFire E1L LED flashlight, spare batteries, and some of MSR's water purification tablets I received on my trip to Philmont. Also present now is a Spyderco Rock Salt. :) A SpyderSaw is included in this package and is a very effective and lightweight tool for when a real saw is too heavy or cumbersome. Get one if you can, and like others have said, don't overlook it.

I liked it so much I bought two. It has the same handle as the Catcherman, another of my favorites. Its only weakness is that its kind of short; but that makes it light and easy to carry. And stainless steel to boot. Something bigger like a Bahco or Silky folding saw is better for serious sawing, if there is such a thing as serious sawing.
