Squaring scales and bolsters with your file guide

For those without a disc sander for really squaring up your scale to bolsters you can use your carbide file guide.

Might be common knowledge but I haven't come across it before. I just used my belt grinder and it saved time trying to square them on my surface plate. I do the same with the bolster ends that will contact the scales.

Very useful trick!
Also, if you make slipjoints you often use the file guide when you need controlled removal of a couple of thousands here and there when adjusting the mechanism
