SR-1 Aluminium Frame

My Black/Satin arrived today with his little Brother a full black Daghetta :) - as Traveller said a real Beauty. Very Good Grip, flawless finish and sharpest Edge on a production Folder (looks like polished Edge) I had so far. Fits very nicely into my Hand (Size 11). Please can sobody say something bad to get me down to earth again?

Congratulations on both counts & enjoy 'em :D

Btw, the SR-1's edge (Al/D2 version, at least) isn't polished but decently sharp none the less... :thumbup:

My SR-1 appears to be half polished (or finely ground) but not fully - Agreed

We have made only the first 15-20 pieces with "V" edge.
After that, all the SR-1, Titanium and Aluminium, have got a convex edge.

Say, I don't think I've ever seen a convex secondary bevel before (although I have a few knives with factory-polished edges - but it's hard to tell what shape the edges have...).

I now have two SR-1s and both have the classic V-edges. I want to emphasis again that these are some of the cleanest factory V-edges I've seen... :cool:

Sorry for the mistake.... also the SR-1 Damascus do not have the Convex edge.
We do not want damage the patent of the damascus sharpening the convex edge.
 
You can kind of tell in the pictures I posted in the photo thread. It's a mild convex and the edges are semi polished.
