SR Rat Trap vs Spyderco Manix

For me, I'd buy the Manix, and it'd be an easy decision, based on the fact that I don't buy liner locks for hard use, and the Manix's lock is just awesome. However, even if I put that aside, I feel the round hole is a nice opening advantage. Also slightly thinner blade stock and full flat grind on the Manix means a higher-performing (but still strong) blade, a good combination. Lastly, I feel the Manix's blade shape is an overall more useful shape than the class drop-point of the SR.
I would agree about the lock. The back long on the Chinook II was simply awesome in terms of security and strength. I have not really leaned hard into the Rat Trap yet, but same as Joe have not been impressed to date with liner locks and security.

The opening hole is better in theory, but in practice I noticed little difference flipping open the Trap and a few Spyderco's for awhile, they both engage easily and pop open consistently.

The Rat Trap has a very thin blade, bit of a typo in the above, and is Spyderco level in terms of cutting ability due to the thin and acute edge.

The handle on the Trap is thinner so it is easier to pocket, but the Manix does look to have some possible ergonomic advantages.

The Rat trap I have did have a common problem with liners in that it didn't engage 100% on initial opening, I had to flip it hard a few times to set the lock. Now it works fine, whiteknuckling can't release it (different people react to this differentlt), and spine whacks are no problem, so are light to medium torques in thick materials.

I'll be doing wood work with it later on, and then take it apart in a few weeks. It is a really nice cutting folder though, and they don't promote it for heavy "tactical" use, it isn't the right steel for that anyway.

I'd like to see a more secure and stable lock on this, back locks seem to heavy and bulky for some though, but I carried the Chinook with no concerns. I assume the Manix is similar.

Joe do you want to have a look at this one before I take it apart?

How about the Doug Ritter Griptilian as an option? It has an S30V blade and an axis lock. The ergonomics look comparable.

Sorry for the goofy way of saying it, but don't want any 'bots picking up my email.

Both of these folders appeal to me, but I think it would be foolish for me to buy both. They seem too similar to eachother to have one of each, and so the debate begins. In your opinion, which is a better all around folder? I like the blade of the Rat Trap, but I've read that the liner lock doesnt stand up to contiuous "hard use". The Manix's handle looks more comfy to me...so...Rat or manix?
OK, WHERE do I find a pic of this knife...
I have been looking at their web page for months, but only see it on the order page, but no pics ANYWHERE...
HELP!!!
