SR1 Tanto Has Arrived** With Pics**

Very good observation. I have a Recon 1 clip point and an SR1 in clip point. The SR1 is heavier and may be stronger, but that additional strength for me is not worth the additional weight. I can t imagine ever breaking my Recon1 unintentionally. I ve never battoned a folder.

I have 2 Recon 1’s as I mentioned (non coated s35vn and a coated and serrated in XHP. They are monsters but I have a Les George Titanium prybar and an ESEE 4 and a 6 for hard use (batoning, prying, cutting small trees, etc.

I will likely buy the monster XL Voyager Vaquero or the 13.25” Holdout 1 for about 1/2 the $$$.

I would love a SR1 but having 4 other 3-4” CS knives make a SR1 something that I likely dont need... as if NEED means much to us Knife freaks....:rolleyes::D
