Srk Cpm-3V vs Becker Bk2 for batoning and hard use?

I have owned both (SRK not in 3V though) and I do think the BK2 is a better choice specifically for batoning. Also the handle is much more comfortable for long periods of use.

What are you going to cut/baton that a Bushcrafter can’t handle?
Nothing too large (no point breaking down thick branches to fit in the tiny fire-pit of the solo stove lite, when small ones will do) the bushcrafter can for sure handle it, but i just dont have the heart...
Seemingly the bk2 splits much better due to its geometry & is also heavier (a plus and a minus). Yesterday i placed a bk7 against an srk and they seemed to be of the same thickness. The srk says that its 5mm thick. A bk2 is about 'only' 1.35mm thicker. Together with its skeletonized tang, (the 1/4 inch width is great, im wondering about its depth-when bk2s break-after extreme abuse-the skeletonized tangs connection to the blade seems to be the spot) -whereas on the srk the hilt isn't skeletonized, wouldn't the cpm-3v vs 1095 cro-van be stronger? Does the greater heft of the bk2 translate into superior toughness in this particular case? There is no question they will both do the job admirably. But being that i need to make a choice between them, i thought it was an interesting matchup and hadn't seen them compared anywhere.

I've been trying REALLY hard not to go to the 'i guess i need to get both' place... but after all these pro-bk2 posts, it looks like i'm quickly falling off the wagon... again... :-(

Buy an Esee 5 (1095 Steel but with an optimized heat treatment to get a lot of punishment, that edge would plasticly deform and not chip. I think ESEE has the best 1095 heat treatment regarding production Knives, because they temper it to hit a toughness peak) and rest assured your knife will never break, unless you hit it with a .50BMG bullet!
