Been a while since I posted but I was curious about a couple things. I just got a cricket for Christmas and I love it, but I am also going to pick up one more knife. It is a toss up between a Mini Persian and the ZDP Calypso Jr. I favor both styles and Am really on the edge. The Persian is just beautiful but I would like to try out ZDP. Also, does the Caly handle only come Burgundy? That is all I can find. Also, I am thinking about going to the Golden factory soon (I live 2 hours away and have never been) an I was wondering: is there a tour of some sort, do they sell knives, and how much money should I bring?

ZDP Calypso Jr was also done in black. Last time I looked New Graham still had some. Spyderco does sell knives at their Factory Outlet store, but, IIRC, does not offer factory tours. I would advise against bringing more money than you want to spend, unless you have considerably more self control than most of us. ;) :D

Unless you use your knife frequently each and every day; it is unlikely you would notice much difference between ZDP and some other "super steel". So if you are like most of us who just love knives; pick the one whose features and overall design most appeals to you.
 
Is ZDP less rust resistant? I've read that on the net but never had a ZPD blade.
