ST. LOUIS KNIFE SHOW 🔪

we talked with him for a while. Nice guy
Yep. He was approachable and very nice to talk with. When he handed me his latest flipper, I was impressed by how smooth the deployment is. I really wanted to pull the trigger again, but my wallet was smacking me in the arse and yelling NO!!!

My son and I were in and out in one half hour. I am now home. I was hoping someone would recognize my shirt and say hello. But it didn't happen. Sorry I missed you and KOD.

I was impressed with Seamus knives. And local. I may have to get to know him better.
He is a great guy, and in our knife club. I kick myself because I should’ve bought a few of his knives when they were “cheap”. He also uses stellite on some of his models.

He was explaining Stellite to me, but I was not following well. Looked it up when I returned home. Interesting...

From what I understand, the Rockwell is around 47 and doesn’t require heat treat. It doesn’t rust, and the wear resistance is fairly high. However, it is not meant for hard use. It’s really expensive too.

And that's what confused me. Low Rockwell but high wear resistance, yet low toughness. I was confused, and still am I guess. He handed me a flipper and I was impressed by the action on that, smoother than my Civivis.

Thanks for all the pics and reviews guys.

From the club's Instagram photos......

Does anyone know who this maker is?
