St. Louis Knife Show - Let's see 'em!

It looks like I will be checking out all of the cool knives before the show opens. There are some really nice knives posted on this thread.

Here is one that I will be bringing. It is a little differnt than what I normally make but that was part of the fun of making it. The blade is 7" of Loki's Ladder damascus. The fittings and domed pins are stainless steel and the handle is African Blackwood. Stylewise I was going for an upscale guacho type knife with a wide enough blade that it could be used to prepare food with in the camp. the spine of the knife is 5/32" at the handle and has a nice distal taper all the way to the point so it makes for a nice light slicer. I am making a tooled leather sheath for it.
This one will probably be a love or hate type affair. Let me know what you think

Love it, Craig.

Geez, I'm not sure I wanna post my pics now. :o

Anyway, here's what I've got done. No laughing, please(at least, not out loud)

Just a piece of 1084 carbon steel, stainless pins, thongliner and green canvas micarta. About 6" overall. No hamon, the one was full quenched all the way. Craig Camerer did the heat treat. Triple normalized, quenched in Brownell's Tough Quench, and a triple temper. Handrubbed to whatever grit the Norton Norax X65 is, and then went over with a fine scotchbrite pad. This one is flat ground nice and thin, and should make one heck of a slicer/dicer utility knife.

Still needs sharpening, though. Nice thing about this one is, it just happened to be a nice fit for an extra Bark River leather sheath I had laying around.

Nice utility there, Danbo! Not sure how long the excuse of "I just happened to have this sheath laying around" will get you out of the sheath making business, but looks like it works for now!
Look forward to seeing you again.

Good stuff, Guys! Looks like it's going to be a pretty good show.

Here's another. I also have a couple folders but my camera just ate the photos and no time to take more.
