This knife is a nasty little cutter, featuring a special blend of Crucible Steel's - CPM D2.
Please note, this is NOT CPM 154, this was a special blend/make of powdered CPM D2 performed by Crucible. VERY fine grained, very sharp, just a nasty little cutter meant to get very sharp & hold it's edge for an extremely long time.
Steel Material: Crucible - CPM D2 (Not directly a tool steel, but a powdered form of D2)
Blade Length: 3.5"
Overall Length: 7 7/8"
Handle Material: Stabilized Box Elder Burl
Steel Thickness: .110" (slightly thinner than 1/8")
Special Thanks to knifemaker Darrin Sanders on this one, he recommended a steel supplier that provided this special blend of CPM D2. Awesome stuff, while I've worked with CPM 154.....I'm a D2 man, the qualities of this blade is VERY sharp indeed!
