Stabilized Burl

The moisture did not come from shipping. If the wood was 18% The plastic bag was probably there to prevent the wood from drying to fast and developing cracks.

I think I remember reading that K&G will finish drying your wood for a price ?? Give them a call and see what they say .... or put them up like viral described and forget about them for a while

K&G will dry them for me for a small fee. But, I may just keep them at home for awhile. :/ Was hoping to have these stabilized and ready to slap on by next week but, that's out of the question.

A little off topic but, of the woods I have, Thuya burl, Maple burl, Redwood burl, and Buckeye burl, whats a decent price for a stabilized block? K&G actually sells some and they seem like a decent price but I'm not sure.

Price always depends on the grade of wood. The rarer the species, the more figure it has, the higher the cost will be. From my own experience, prices range from 25.00 to 100+ .
 
Yea. I'm looking at some Maple, Buckeye, Black Ash, and Box Elder burls and they're $25-$30.
