stabilized scales absorb water?

My stabilized Burl Wood has minimal water absorbant.
From my experience, it is because of 2 factors:

1. The resin should have enough solid stage when it is cured.
2. Vacuum and pressure to the high level.



These 2 knife are still work in process and not coated.

The shiny one was buffed by cloath wheel without wax or coating.
The non shiny one only sanding at 320 micron

Here's another one to check out. Mike and Chris do it right - the accepted best MMA process - and their experience is growing very well. They show photos of the individual blocks and you will like what you see.

Its an option that is growing professionally - and in the right direction.
