Stabilized wood...porosity?

Quick question everyone. I want to try a method on a stabilized wood scale, is it porous enough to accept a light water based solution into the wood? Still a beginner at handle making and trying something new.

If stabilized correctly then it shouldn't accept water so I doubt it would take a water based solution. What are you trying to do?

Stabilizing is not intended to fill all the voids in the wood - that's not how it works.
The answer to your questions will be determined by who did the stabilizing and what type wood it is.
If wood is inherently porous before stabilizing, it will be porous after stabilizing.

Stabilized wood will accept water. It isn't the same as casting.

My experience is with wood stabilized by K&G and yes it can take on some water but a stabilized block will absorb MUCH less than a natural piece. I can use leather dye to change the color so if I had to guess I would say it would accept a light water based solution
