Where does everyone get their handles from (both scales and blocks)? I've been able to find a bunch on ebay, however they all seem to be only 1.5-1.75" wide. Is there a place that sells wider blocks, looking for 2.5" blocks.
Thanks for suggestions.

Depends upon what wood species you are after. Burl Source and Greenberg Woods are active members around here and have quality woods. There are many other sources for woods like The Timber Joint in Australia. You will usually find pretty small pieces on their website but if you contact them and speak to them they will cut you pieces any size you need. If you are going to get stabilized wood blocks from places like Ebay, ask the seller what methods were used to stabilize the wood. Be aware that professionally stabilized woods from companies like K&G and WSSI will be superior products compared to home stabilizing systems like Cactus Juice. Also investigate:

Burl Source and Greenberg Woods are two of the best places around and you'll KNOW what wood and how it was stabilized

If that is important to you I wouldnt just limit that to ebay I would ask here too.

There are guys on instagram and on blade forums who sell home stabilized wood. Most wont directly say it, so asking is a good idea.

Ive written some pieces on the performance diffrence between professional and hone jobs. I've compared home stabilized and pro stabilized many times. There is a real diffrence. Dont let anyone fool you.

While home stabilized will work, and for very light woods like poplar it works quite well, it is NOT on the same level as pro work.

Theres a reason you dont see many master smiths with home stabilized wood
