Mike I hope you dont mind showing my knife with Zebrawood. This wood is so nice to work with. Mine wasnt stabilized though, yours would be easier to finish.

Not at all Bruce it lets these guys see what it would look like on a knife. That is one beauty of a knife.

The stabilizing does make it easy to finish for sure, I go 600 grit machine then lightly buff. Here is a quote from K&G's website,

Some advantages of stabilized products are that they minimize or totally eliminate; shrinking, cracking, expanding and warping. Stabilized wood will not absorb water, impervious to oils, raised grain when sanded and they take a very high polish.
