Stabilizing Bird's-eye that has Open Eyes

I want to get some blanks stabilized that have open eyes and use a colored resin to the eyes stand out. Please look at this wood. I have many feet of these 3/8"x2 1/4"x42" burl redwood.

I was wondering if a service like was used here would fill the eyes colorfully?

I still want the redwood red.

I don't think resin filling will work with such small checks.I would think that the checks are so small that you wouldn't be able to see the color difference. K&G would be a good start though

That picture of the blue resin filled wood looks amazing. Do you have any more information about it?
