I have tried before but failed while doing stacked handles putting a angle in the handle Is there a trick to it an angle that looks the best when I did it I used 33* cuts and when I put it in a press it all slanted and got misalighned

Over size the pieces so if and when they shift when pressing you can still have enough to make the handle thickness you want.Keep the slot in the pieces to be stacked as tight to the tang as you can to help eliminate any movement when clamping.

The only way I have ever made a stacked leather handle was to A.) pre-compress the leather discs. B.) Then glue 'em up with thin epoxy OVERSIZE, and then rasp and file and sand down to finished form. Not sure if I get the 33 degree thing. If you want the layers to be off set at an angle to the tang rather than, more or less, perpendicular, then they would have to but against an angled guard/bolster/spacer.

curve the tang and follow it with the stack...Or make the pieces at the but end bigger and then carve in the shape of the handle you want, the tang wont be in the center of the butt end but that doesnt really matter if you get it tight when you do the final fit up.
