It's been a while since I posted asking more about it. Here is a link from that question. Fun reading just for its own sake.

This one seems to be a 440 (A or C) and before 1977. In the linked thread, El Lobo noted that the lettering system started then, A=77, B=78, etc. It is a modern version of the old Seabee knife.
