It's supper grippy. I started playing with stacked rubber for handles becaus rubber is really popular on my knives. I have been doing rubber for a while and have found the best way to attach to the tang was to use super glue. I have not had a customer knife fail but have had a personal kitchen knife have problems with the rubber scales lifting up. This possibility of failure is what cause me to think of another way to attach rubber to my tangs. Stacking the rubber works really nicely and is solid once it's finished and glued up. I found that the kydex spacers make grinding the rubber very east as HT ..
