Well i got mine done, its not what i was going to do but its for me! The head is forged from a 3/4" round bar of1095/15n20 twist damascus and the bowl is hard silver soldered on, O.A.L. is 20 3/4" and the head is 7 1/4" with a i 3/4" edge. The haft is shaped from a 1 1/2" curly maple dowell that Stacy Apelt was so kind to offer to 8 people. The mouth piece, end cap and plug are ivory.
Special Thanks to Stacy and Bill i hope the hawk is worthy of the wood it will be with me till i have no say over it!:D

You don't see many pipehawks from round stock so i thought i would give it a go. Someday maybe i will try and forge in the bowl too. But no practicing with damascus.
Thanks Bob
