i received my knife from Stag and Steel tonight, and i have to say, i am more than satisfied! the peice is exceptionally made and was a wonderful investment. th quality of his work is excelent! the transatcion with Mr. Wharton was pleasent and smoothe. i was informed and all my questions were answered promptly and clearly. i would not hesitate to do business with him in the future as i plan to do so. i recomend to ANYONE considering a peice made by this craftsman to rest assured, as he has my full confidence and admiration. and i would recomend anyone who has not considered buying a knife form Stag and Steel to look into his work, as they will undoubtedly be as satisfied as i am. Mr.Wharton, you do wonderful work and i am so pleased that you ave given me this oportunity to have this exception peice and i gladly write this note of comendation. Thank you!:)

I 100% agree with Badkarma, Jim is a great knife maker. Saw some of his neck knives in the for sale area and contacted him for a little larger one with a sheath that would fit into the ruler pocket of my overalls. Over the next week I received E-mails with pictures showing the process and ideas on how to make the design better. I sent him a MO. when he sent me the final pictures and the knife arrived Last Wed. in perfect condition and well packed. His makers stamp and serial number stamped into the blade. I could not be happier with the quality and process from start to finish. Jim is a great maker with a bunch of new steel in hand, watch for his work, you will not be disappointed.

I think I purchased the first knife Jim sold on this forum. It turned out better than expected and I was very plesed with the quality. I will buying another in the future after I decide on a design. One thing I like about Jim is he is open to suggestions not limited to a certain pattern. I wouldn't mind watching Jim build my next knife but distance precludes that idea.
