Stag Clam shell bowie {Big one for the OKCA show} Sheath pics added.

Nice one , Ben. Very tastefully done! Good luck at the show. So you've joined the gang of 1075? It's some great stuff.

Thanks Ben! Yep I love 1075! It makes for an awesome hamon, and it performs very well also.

I draw tangential lines from various curves to find where things should end in space. Thinking from a mindset that concerns itself with negative space can be very helpful with things like guards, and with everything else.

 Umm..........yeah, I use a Hello kitty pencil and scribble til it looks right. :D

Yep, gonna have to dig out the dictionary on that one:eek:...but the designs look good. ;)I guess I take more of the scribbling approach.

Ben,

That's a very nice piece. Nice stag & great hamon. My first impression was like others in that the guard was a little long but that's purely subjective.

Thanks for sharing and good luck at the show.

Gary

Thanks gentlemen.
The guard is larger. It is how large I would want it, if I were using the knife for defensive purposes, as it offers a bit more protection to the hand. But I can see how aesthetically a smaller guard would flow a bit better.

Thanks again for the comments, I appreciate the input!

I finished up the sheath and added pics to the first post.
