I saw the first photo and made a face like . Very impressive. I wouldn't change a thing about this one. If only I had the funds....:grumpy:

That is a great looking knife, and all the more impressive for having such well done "firsts". I really like the overall look and flow of this knife.
Does "anchor chain" in regards to the guard and butt cap refer to the source of the steel?

I can't stop looking at it. Perfect in every way. That may be the nicest piece of stag I've ever seen.

Thank you for your kind comments.
Hi John. Yes it is forged out of a small chunk of one link of a boat anchor. The one link of the chain was about a foot long. I will get a picture of the link of chain this morning for perspective.

This is awesome, I especially like that you used an anchor chain on this one. I agree that this is probably one of the finest pieces of stag I have ever seen and the blade profile looks great. It's hard to imagine that this is your first hamon, it looks great. I wish I wasn't committed on so many knives or this would be mine. Awesome job on this one and congrats to whomever may be the lucky owner.

Here is the Anchor Chain process.
10" link cut it in half.
Forge a bar of guard stock and butt stock.
Grind flat stock.
Grind guard and slot.
Etch and install.

I really like the curved spine on this one, along with everything else for that matter! :D
