Hello All,
I just finished the first of a couple of Puukko knives. This one has an elk antler and black Micarta handle with white and black accent spacers. The front bolster is peened and antiqued brass with a brass rear pommel mechanically attached to the knifes tang. The blade is 1/8" thick D2 tool steel and is flat ground to nearly a scandi edge but has a slight secondary bevel. I've also incorporated fullers into the blade and hand sanded the finish to 600 grit. The sheath is black 8/9 ounce leather that is Kydex lined and has a metal ring sewn in place with a leather swinger carry loop.
SPECS:
Steel: 1" wide D2 tool steel hardened to approximately 60 Rc.
Blade Length: 5.1 inches from tip to brass bolster, 1/8 inches thick..
Overall Length: 9.9 inches
Handle: Elk antler and black Micarta
Sheath: Black leather pouch, Kydex lined, with right carry swinger on a steel loop.
Price: $200 shipped.
