stag inlay spur?

I believe the stag is an after market addition. It comes from a fairly new knife dealer (appeared in the last few years) from Texas. I think that dealer posts some on the Spyderco.com forums, perhaps here as well, but I forget the name. I have one, it appears to be glued on. It might be jigged bone, but I don't really know for sure. If you like the spur, I would say it is worth getting one for the novelty. :)

I'll look when I get home for pics. I bought mine about a year ago for roughly 60 bucks from the dealer on ebay. At the time he was slowly selling them off, haven't watched ebay too much lately so don't know if he still is selling them.
 
I love Spydercos and really love stag handles but I am not sure if they work together?

...but Sambar Stag works damn fine for me on this Spydie. :D It's just about my favorite Kiwi and one of my all-time favorite Spydercos.

As for the Spur, as I mentioned in the thread on the Spyderco factory forum, IIRC these were aftermarket customizations done by Serene. Think "cutleryp" was the eBay seller that unloaded a bunch of them, and IIRC some similarly customized Pro-Grips, a while back.

I too purchased one of these Spurs on ebay (lost it recently), because stag and Spyderco are two of my fav's. I LOVE the way that Kiwi looks!!

Me, too! Although it needs a Boye dent (Only kidding, Deacon :eek::p). I think Spyderco & stag go together well. Deacon, don't you have an aftermarket, customized, stag-handled Persian?
