You see how the buttplate rises up to meet the finial? I believe thats what he's referring to.

Thanks to Roger for being such a neat guy, for his interest in forged blades and big Bowies, and for posting these photos.

One of the best things about the Blade Show is getting to talk with the folks who make knifemaking so much fun. Jill and I had a chance to visit a lot with Roger. Knives are great, friends are better.

Wow! Every time I think I've seen it all with respect to Bowies, another one pops up that floors me.

That's about as good looking a Bowie as one can get, IMO.
 
This terrific piece arrived a litte while back and I finally got around to taking some pics.
