Thanks for that, Jake. My memory would have been jogged if I'd seen the maker's mark. Love the tapered tang and dynamite stag. Congratulations on acquiring that fine knife.

Yeah the mark side picture isn’t that great so I left it out the first go around. I’ll have to get some better pics taken!

Thanks for the compliments everyone!

Charles, if I say WOW three times, is that a sentence? Each one is outstanding on its own, but the covers on the Morrow are stunning.

- traded for this old

One of the nicest A. Wright knives that I've seen, Gary! -Lance

Charlie my friend - as Mr. Hilborn has said.... Wow!
I like the way that Blade Kicks up - not usually seen on those old Rope knives - to make that a safer statement- not that I have seen anyway.
I have it’s brother here at home somewhere.
Stunning Stag on this Beaut.

Thanks FOG2, Stuart, GT, Paul and Duncan!!
Silvey mentions that T.Turner upswept blade in his book on Military Folders - a must read!!
It's pretty amazing to look at! I wonder if it makes the knife more effective at cutting rope??
I'm not ready to test it yet!!

I believe that it would make if more effective at cutting, since curving the cutting edge makes it relatively longer, thus increasing the cutting surface.

You have a point, Stuart! I wonder if anyone has tested this dynamic??

Nice trade Charlie! Money for Old Rope:D I particularly like Stag when it has that rib cage look, ribby!:D

Ha ha - a new knife word!! Ribby!!
:)
I expect to see a few plays on words before it settles into the lexicon!!:):)
