Dave Lisch Legacy Knife. This is a knife that has to be held, it’s sooooooooooooo sexy! The sheath was made by Bob Bobbitt (Bob’s Saddle Shop) and is pretty sexy also :)

A note about Dave’s construction on this knife. He leaves the tang with forge marks and to remedy having a rough tang mate with the smooth side of the stag scales, he uses leather as a liner between them, like a gasket. This seals everything up and creates a great bonding surface.

Even I know that's not a Rough Ryder. Hahaha

LOL.....indeed!

I was very lucky to be in the right place, right time to buy this knife. Also very lucky in that I've handled a few antler base handled knives before and they didn't quite do it for me, but this one sits right snug in the hand and the balance is good too, as well as it feeling quick

Very Nice:cool:

Thanks G, looking forward to seeing your new new additions when they land!

Used this Old Stag today .

I would never use any of these to do what the old pruner did .

This is one of my favourite threads; there's always so many wonderful pics posted of great stag, and you have a fine collection Harry :)

Thank you kindly :)

The sort of stuff that has character and texture, whether it's thick or thin. Popcorn is great but grooved/ridged antler gives a nice feel in hand too. I prefer warmer tones to stark black and white, but I agree with what's been said before about there being no such thing as bad stag...

How about you? You've got plenty of variety in your collection and that pruner of yours is fantastic!

I prefer deep heavily featured and matched but that is normally not possible in the price range that I buy except for the $28 + shipping old pruner .
But I am only too happy to provide samples of some of my Northfields .
72 & 73

47 with the old pruner where the Stag features curve with handle shape

35 & 26 with deep , bold and matched

73s Deep featured

73 & 43 Popcorn

That is what I prefer but it is not always possible.
There is no Bad Stag . Some is just better than others .
