Here, an Ettrick by the late Trevor Ablett 1942-2015 in Sambar Stag. Very nicely made knife with wraparound spring and bark on the scales.

It was one of my grandfather’s “tools.” Looks like he probably sharpened it on the grinder, and repaired the pile side end.
He would’ve been 104 today.

A search to find a substitute for myself yielded this similar one, but with less dramatic lanyard hole, unfortunately JohnDF
