Super Impressive, Harry. 🤠

A real beauty. I can't make out the number.
As you can see, number 24 isn't quite as pristine as yours. I wonder if all the numbered knives were made by the same cutler? He (She?) did a great job on mine; no noticable gaps, properly sharpened to 10DPS/20° inclusive at the factory, a reasonable "5" pull ... I should carry it more often ... View attachment 1835816

...been carrying this one all week. Definitely not GEC quality but a very capable knife nonetheless.

Depends. GEC has better build yes, but the Buck was far, far less expensive, they made it according to Forum specifications rather than informing the forum what it can have...the steel cuts longer and better than carbon and it's brass free. Tastes thankfully vary, I have 2 of these and one is used constantly and the other kept in reserve, just in case....brilliant knives.

From left to right: Joseph Allen & Sons Bowie (actually jigged bone, not antler, but I had already taken the picture); Cambridge Cutlery Works Bowie; F. Herder Abr Sohn Bowie; Hygrade Cutlery Co. Bowie; J. Russell & Co. Green River Works RU 1100; Muela Bear; Joker Sevillana.

Edit: Added links to threads I created recently about two of the knives in the picture, where I asked a couple questions I'd be glad to hear insights on.
