It’s been a couple years since I had any stag to show. Decided I *needed* to get back in the game, and was lucky enough to do so with this beautiful, new to me 47. One of my favorite patterns, and a nice example, courtesy of a deal with ephsea .

Very traditional Stag from Empire, from right around Word War One!!! Empire did what they called "Blackened Stag"!! This one though worn, is still pretty "Black"!!
Whoever owned/used this knife, kept the joints oiled!! Very snappy and smooth, it's a nice old knife to carry around!!

Charlie, I thought you and our stag fan forum members would enjoy seeing this old Empire relic. I've had it awhile but never shared it due to it's condition. Someone did an amateur job of re-pinning the blades, it now has a pull of about 12 . It would make a good user if it was repaired correctly.

Looks like the same knife, Rob! Less wear but more "mishaps"!!!
I'm missing about 20% of the blades, through normal wear!!

Empire did a great job of selecting their stag, the pile side of these two knives is very similar!

And, it's easier to fit a shield to the slightly less "rugged" mark side!!
