What would be the best/safest way to ship this to canada... w/o breaking the bank?

Costing as per eMail sent.
Australia and Canada have very high postage cost using Express Post/Courier Services including Insurance and some sort of tracking.
Basic AirMail can be registered but not insured for just under US $ 20.00.

My last postage from Canada to Australia cost me Insured and tracked just under US $ 60.00
