Or I should say, the project from Hell.
I started out with a stag handle that I had to reject.
Second stag the pith was to grease for my comfort in using. Reject #2
Brazilian Rose wood looked just plain wrong. The guard was already mounted and I had fitted the tang to the block of wood. Reject #3
So this is what I ended up with.
India stag. (Third try)
153 Layers of 1082 and 15n20 in a slow twist pattern.
Blade length tip guard is 8 & 7/8"
Over All length is 14"
The max blade thickness is .230"
The 416 stainless guard and sub hilt are satin finish on the sides and mirror on the faces.
The but plate is mirror polished and did not photograph well.
There is room for improvements on this one so I would like to hear you thoughts.
Thanks Looking,
Dave
