Thank you guys that you appreciate my work.
I started making knives in 1998 and learned the hard way.
I started making straigth blades, then liner lockers and now I make a lot of slip joints.
Two of the guys that got me started on slip joints, was Bill Ruple and Don Morrow. They always said that they are glad to see that I had started making "real" knives.
I think that it is much more challenging to make slip joints than any other knife. That is the reason why so few guys make them.
Kind regards
Ian

i can make a fixed blade. lol it's a knife, anyway it looks like a knife.:o
anyone who really knows knife making , knows how difficult it is to make a slipjoint, that's precisely why there are so few slipjoint makers. so much precision fitting in a rather small package is an awesome challenge.
you mentioned the slipjoint royals, Ruple and Morrow. when i first saw this trapper i said to myself , wow, look at the blade shape, and the shape of the body, superb. i see the influence of quality from the great makers and a real fine eye for overall fit and finish along with that something else look, new ....
sorry for taking up so much space here but, i just had to say hey, great work, and i really wish i had the cash for this stag beauty. :D

It takes a person who knows knives to see the similarities and who knows quality to, notice.
Thanks again.
