Okay, so the general consensus is steel instead of titanium for leaf springs, well how about stainless vs. carbon?

The stain resistance would be nice, but I don't want to sacrifice strength for it.

Anyway, are there any stainless steels out there that make satisfactory leafsprings?

don't make stainless steel leaf springs, it's too brittle, especially when tempered. it might snap. i'd say if you need corrosion resistance go with titanium, otherwize just get carbon spring steel. the price for titanim is $200- $300 for 36" * 2" * 1/4". i'm not sure on that but i know it's within the range.
