Stainless Bolster Material

Hi Guys, just a quick question. I know there is a few types of stainless that makers use for Bolster material. Which of these is the easiest to work? Better yet which is most prefered?

416 for both,easy to work and prefered.

416 for sure. I hate hate hate the 300 series stainless. It its hard to grind and drill because it work hardens if you look at it funny.

Agreed on the 416. I've used 410 as well, and can't really tell the difference between it and 416 in terms of workability or looks. 300 series really does suck!
