I am wanting to try my hand at making some stainless and copper mokume but all my searching has failed for recommended temps. Anyone have any recommendations or links?

almost impossible to do. copper and nickel or copper and nickel silver will look almost the same is at least doable

Thanks Bill. Any recommendations for temps for those suggested materials while I have the thread open.

Not for "production" for just for the sake of what the hell, give it a go, try american nickles.
Ive read tons of threads with pocket change. It's not really the look I am going for. I can tig copper and stainless together so I figured I could make mokume out of it. I have seen some makers claim copper and stainless mokume on their knife parts and it looked great. But Bill's response, coupled with the utter lack of information on the subject has led me to believe its nickel like bill suggested.

The book, "Mokume Gane", by Midgett is a great book. It has all the charts for calculating the temps needed to fuse without melting.

If you search my posts, there is a book I recomended a few times.

It's a very scientific approach and lists every combination of every metal and every patina.
