Stainless F/S dagger?

So you are saying the design as I recommended is effecively very similar to a tanto?
I am out atm. When I get home I will draw up what I am talking about as picturing it will be made much easier with a physical representation.

The Extrema Ratio Commando is basically a 2nd pattern Fairbairn/Sykes in more modern materials, with an N690 blade. Very cool knife if you like the lines of the original F/S.

I'll also second the Hill Knives Commando. Their version is a bit more hand-filling & the blade has a a stouter profile. It's very well made & light weight without feeling fragile.

The Extrema Ratio is truer to the original lines, but the handle feels bit thin in the palm in comparison. Its' a nice, elegant dagger nonetheless & would carry well, given it's relatively dainty profile.

Also, Linder does a 3rd pattern F/S in 420 stainless for well under $100.

Thought I’d revisit this thread.
I found an exceptionally clean Kershaw Trooper, without the box and docs for a very fair price.

Seems to be just about what I was looking for. Handles are little fatter than the FS Knives, but a pretty decent version of the Shanghai Knives of long ago.

I remember seeing them in the mall knife shops many years ago. Always thought they looked like decent knives.

Many thanks for everyone’s input. For what I want, this should do well.
