Does anyone weld stainless guards onto stainless blades?

Get a good mechanical fit and braze or solder in place
Get a good mechanical fit and weld in place with a good stainless rod like 308. This works best before heat treating but can be done after. Cleanup is tougher if welded after heat treating.
Tig welding is best if you have access to the equipment.
THANKS GEORGE!!!!!! I'LL HAVE TO PUT A TIG WELDER ON MY WISH LIST FOR NOW. THATS A BEAUTIFUL KNIFE IN YOUR KNIVES ILLUSTRATED AD!

Thanks, That one has monel bolsters not stainless steel. I chose the monel because it is extremely corrosion resistant, even more so than stainless, and matches the colour of the 440C perfectly. It is pinned on with 316 pins.
