I don't know about others but I find stainless hanles on knives very slippery. I decided on an experiment with my Police at bead blasting the handle, and it does make a difference, not dramatic but hey. Looks good too.
Anyone else tried this?
Any way to increase the gripability (is that a word?) of a knife handle- especially something as notoriously slippery as S/S is a good thing. I bead blasted the smooth Micarta (I think) on a Calypso & a Jess Horn. They were both users and the handles were a bit too slick. I also blasted the blades because they were all scratched up from working in a stone shop. They wound up looking pretty "tacti-cool". Or they're "Grey Turds". Depends on your perspective.
