People who know me on here will tell ya that I am pretty paranoid about stainless blades and am always tryin to convert the naive to the merits of good old carbon steel !
So for the benefit of the Stainless fans such as Riley , here is a pic I took today of one of my Stainless blades that I do like.
And for the record I trust them 100% for opening letters, cutting stray threads from my jumpers and cleaning my nails etc.....

Ps. This is also the sharpest blade I have ever seen !!!

Thats a mighty fat letter opener, fingernail cleaner, etc:
Not a bad looking blade though

Pitdog-Just curious, but have you ever tried a Spyderco? Those are my favorite folding knives and I am wondering what could be wrong with them.

I'd trust my life to my stainless Fallkniven A1. I like carbon steel blades too, but when the chips are down, this knife is what I'd want with me.

There are some awful good stainless steels out there. I reason this because, while not a big fan of stainless myself, I sure like the edges I get on my 12C27 Barkies!

(Not to mention the merits of 154CM, S30V, et al)
:D

Yeah I actually have a Fixed Blade Temperance bro, I use it as my camp knife for food prep and stuff....nice little knife !

Hi Pit,

why do you mistrust stainless so much, bad experience?

I'm just messin a little I guess but I have seen a lot of pics of serious blade failure on stainless knives and it just puts me off a little !
If you check out any museums there are Carbon steel swords, knives and tools dating back hundreds of years so I just have a soft spot for good old carbon steel !!!!
