Is there any chance of a such a variation being made (probably not :( )? I think it would be awesome since I am such a big fan of stainless steel handles and the since the Manix is a great looking knife. I wouldn't want anything else changed... I'd like it to all be the same except the handle being all stainless steel instead of having the g-10 inserts. I have one of the g-10 Manix's now but I don't like the way it slides in my pocket compared to SS and I like the thinness and solidness that stainless steel handles offer. I know I'm probably the only person with an opinion like this but It would be nice to know that I was wrong about that because that would increase the chances of this happening :D . I wish there was a bigger selection to choose from for SS handled knives made in the Golden, Colorado plant.... right now I think the only choice is the Titanium ATR.

I'd like to see the Manix done with Titanium handles instead of the SS.

i love the SS Spydies!! i'm happy to see any model in SS, i just wish they'd use VG10 in them (like my SS Kiwi), or some other higher-end steel. i'd pay a premium, for sure.

Cricket, Stretch, Police. All SS. All VG-10. Probably others too but these popped up in my mind. It would be nice to see Delica and Endura SS in VG-10.

I think a SS Manix would be pretty heavy.

I agree. That's why I believe that it should be done in Titanium to reduce the weight but keep the strength. The Manix is a large knife to begin with and SS handles will most likely weigh the same, if not more, than the G-10/SS liner combination.

the Police and Cricket, yeah, but the Stretch kinda doesn't count because of the inlays (which i don't care for at all -- it'd be in my pocket now if it weren't for the Kraton). i guess i should have been more specific: i'd like to see some all-stainless steel handled Spydies with VG10 or better steel. specifically the Endura, Delica, Native, Calypso Jr., and while it'll never happen, i'd LOVE to see the Goddard in SS. yum.

i guess i'm in the minority, as i'm more or less unconcerned about the weight. my SS Endura is quite weighty and that's one of my favorite things about it.

ATR, Scorpius, Karambit and Spur -- how could I forget those?

Seems Spyderco is using VG-10 in many knives now. I suspect Endura, Delica, Caly Jr and Native could be made in VG-10 for about $10 more than present prices. I'm no marketing genius but I think it would make sense to upgrade these big sellers. I mean, some guys won't buy them at the higher price point, I won't buy them with their present steel.

Scorpius! i forgot! that's one i'll have to add sometime soon. and i agree -- i'd buy many of the SS knives should they be updated in VG10 or hehhe.. S30V.

AYB Abe,

Two more: Harpy and Kiwi. I think that is all the current production VG-10 bladed SS handled knives. Exceptions for Spur and Stretch noted due to Kraton insets.

The Scorpius is a nice little knife. 3" spearpoint.

Manix is already Spyderco's heaviest folder. 6.125 oz. I bet SS would add at 2-4 oz. I'd rather carry a FRN Delica in addition to a regular Manix.

I don't think there are any SS handled knives made in Golden.

my wife gave me the Kiwi for Christmas. i LOVE it. despite the handles, the Kopa still interests me quite a bit, but i wish this one also came with plain SS handles. thanks for all of the suggestions.

i first thought the Scorpius was about the ugliest knife i'd seen in some time, but (as is often the case with Spydercos) time has changed my view. i can now see the utility and though put into the design, and i'm planning on adding it to my collection this year.

Ti Manix would probaby outsell (and compete with Ti ATR). Doubt it will happen.

bodieism, you're not the only spydernut with a pref. for the SS-models. but you must've missed something: how about that SS-ATR!!?!? go get it dude! :D

Looks like I'm in that minority with you. My SS Endura is my EDC at the moment and I also love the weight of it. I actually prefer heavy knives. I wouldn't mind as long as the knife didn't way more than one pound. I could probably even deal with one that weighed over one pound lol but I doubt a stainless steel Manix would weigh anywhere close to that much. I don't see why so many people are obsessed with everything being so lite.... I mean as long as your wearing jeans or some type of pants that aren't the athletic type you shouldn't really be able to notice that much of a difference (at least for me anyway). I can't even tell when I have my Endura clipped to my pocket. I could feel my Military in my pocket but thats probably because of the difference in thickness. I'm curious .. I have a question for the people who like lite knives..... do you prefer them because of the way they ride in your pocket compared to heavier ones or is it the way it feels and handles during use or both?

Your right I did miss that. For some reason I was thinking that only the Titanium model was make in Golden, Colorado. Thanks for pointing that out :D . So, are there any other SS models that are made in USA that I might have looked over to?

I think that might have resulted from pasting the description of the Ti version -- note that the text says the steel is S30V.

I don't know why ppl have such a problem with weight... I don't even notice my ss police, I actually think it could stand to be a couple ounces heavier. It dances nicely now, but think what it would do with more mass(I have to force my frn endura to dance, not enough mass).

ss manix would be great, just give me a price.

Oh okay. That makes sense. Thats probably why I was confused a little. I had thought before that I had seen it on the old site saying made it Japan but when I seen the knew site saying it was made in Golden, Colorado I assumed it would be the one that was correct.

I just recently saw a Titanium Delica being sold on eBay and thought it looked totally awesome (I was highly tempted to buy it myself). I didn't even know that they made a Delica with Titanium until I came across that one on eBay. After seeing that picture I am definitely with you.... I would love to see the Manix done with Titanium handles.
